Any substance used; but does not include cosmetics, tobacco, or substances intended only for medicinal purposes.
In GB16740-1997 "General Standard for Health Food", health food is defined as: health food is a type of food, which has the commonality of general food, can regulate the functions of the human body, and is suitable for consumption by specific groups of people, but not for the purpose of treating diseases.
